Muslims should make fellow countrymen likeminded: Shahrukh Khan

Bollywood Badshah Shahrukh Khan, not only in his reel life but also in his real life determined to eradicate the wrong notions about Muslim community.

Ahead of his to be released film “My Name is Khan” Shahrukh had invited a selected few Urdu journos to his Juhu located residence Mannat where he unwrapped some his personal facts which are never exposed. Facing the sea, the upper floor of his multi storeyed residence, is earmarked for his personal use where he would listen various scripts as this stretch has no modern gadgets including TV, phones etc.,

Here, Shahrukh, while interacting with Urdu journos, said in today’s world, it’s a matter of pride to be a Muslim but on the other hand, various wrong notions are also associated with the community.

Today, it is the need of the hour that Muslims should make other thinking positively about them by showing the kind of characteristics which was the part of prophet Mohammed (PBUH). He disclosed that the fear of ALLAH is always there with him wherever he goes. He recalled about his father who used to say that whatever is being done or happened; it’s because of ALLAH’S wish.

In a matter-of- factly manner, he said that he has various friends in Saudi Arabia and Dubai and whenever they come to meet him, they bring a copy of HOLY QURAN along with them as a gift and always asked him that “Shahrukh you’re the icon of the Muslim community and it’s your duty to mend the image of the Muslim community.”

He went down memory lane saying that in his childhood, he, out of fear of his moulvi sahab, recited a few verses of the HOLY QURAN but could not follow its message and the universalism.

Not only this but his father also narrated a few stories from ‘KHISASUL AMBIYA’. But let me tell you one thing quite frankly that it’s quite different reciting the HOLY QURAN in one’s childhood and going through it when you attain adulthood and senses. Of late, he has formed a habit of reciting the HOLY QURAN with all its true meanings as I always refer the meanings of the verses.

He’ll try his level best to eradicate the wrong concepts developed among the westerners regarding Muslims and it is the field of education which could bring laurels to the community as there is no substitute for higher education. He has tried his best to brought up his children as good citizens of the country.

Shahrukh is of the opinion that whenever people wish him with salam, he replied them back with walaikum salam, a namaste with namaste and a hello with hello. Once one of his fans, in order to take his Islamic test, asked him that what is Jihad? Sharukh then gave him the reference of prophet Mohammed (PBUH). Once a person came to him with the same question, prophet asked him that did he have parents? He said yes. Prophet again asked him that are they old and weak? The person again replied in affirmative.

Then Prophet asked him that to stay with his parents and serving them is the biggest Jihad. The person went back convincingly. Shahrukh’s brother Yaseen Khan and a moulvi saab look after the Islamic teachings being administered to check its authenticity. He specially referred the name of poet and lyricist Javed Akhter who had once said that using the word ‘INSHALLAH’ (if God wishes so) always make the difficulties into easiness.

Taking a cue from Akhtar Saab, actress Sushmita Sen has also started using the word thus making it a craze among the film fraternity. Sushmita Sen has used the word in her recently released film ‘Dulha Mil Gaya’ which also stars Shahrukh Khan along with Fardeen and a new comer Ishita Sharma. Shahrukh brought out some more cards out of his sleeves saying that he has various relatives living in Hyderabad’s Toli Chowki, Mehdipatnam and Nampally.

He opined that after watching his film ‘MY NAME IS KHAN’ Muslim community will get some inspiration as how to lead a peaceful and respected life. He regretted that Muslims are presented with negative and gray shades in Hindi films, which should be stopped.

About Sonia Gandhi and his best friend Karan Johar, Shahrukh said that we had dinner together from time to time. All in all, he never behaved as if he was the super star. In fact, he was down to earth and said that he has no intentions of joining politics.

He termed Kajol as his best co-star and their chemistry would be seen in his forthcoming movie ‘MY NAME IS KHAN’.

Soon, your puppy will also ‘tweet’!

Man’s best friend will be able to follow in his footsteps even in the virtual world, thanks to a toy called ‘Puppy Tweets’ that lets your dog send online posts on popular social networking websites.

Toy company Mattel announced it was developing the product containing a plastic collar tag with a sound and motion sensor and a USB receiver to be plugged into the computer. The tag, expected to cost 29.99 dollars, comes with pre-written, pre-recorded tweets that are activated by the dog’s activity. For example, if the pooch is sleeping, the tag may automatically send the message ‘Somedays it feels like my paw is permanently on the snooze button!’, reports Discovery News .

The gizmo of a barking mutt may also tweet ‘YAHOOOOOOO! Somedays you just gotta get your bark on.’ The idea comes amid the soaring popularity of several social ‘netwoofing’ sites for the online canine such as Mydogspace, Dogster, and Fuzzster.

The ten most commonly used internet passwords you should never use

A data security firm has unveiled the ten most commonly used passwords on the web.

To reach the conclusion, Imperva analysed around 32 million passwords that had been exposed in a recent hack of the RockYou website.

Last year a hacker had breached the site’s company database, gaining access to the unencrypted usernames and passwords of all its 32 million users.

Now, after studying the breach the firm has come up with a list of the most commonly used passwords which website users should avoid, reports The Telegraph.

“Everyone needs to understand what the combination of poor passwords means in today’s world of automated cyber attacks: with only minimal effort, a hacker can gain access to one new account every second-or 1000 accounts every 17 minutes,” said Amichai Shulman, Imperva’s chief technical officer.

“Employees using the same passwords on Facebook that they use in the workplace bring the possibility of compromising enterprise systems with insecure passwords, especially if they are using easy to crack passwords like ‘123456’,” he added.

“The problem has changed very little over the past 20 years. It’s time for everyone to take password security seriously; it’s an important first step in data security,” he said.

The ten most commonly used passwords analysed in the study were:

1. 123456

2. 12345

3. 123456789

4. Password

5. iloveyou

6. princess

7. rockyou

8. 1234567

9. 12345678

10. abc123

Eight killed in Iran after train derails

A passenger train derailed in north-eastern Iran on Saturday, killing eight and injuring 12 others, state television reported.
The broadcast said four of those injured were in critical condition.
The deadly incident occurred after two coaches of a speeding train derailed at Azadvar station in Joqatai, 700 kilometers east of the capital Tehran, state television reported on Saturday.
The television said the train derailed at 10:20 a.m. local time (GMT 06:50). The train was heading to Tehran.
It is the deadliest accident since February 2004 when runaway train cars carrying fuel and industrial chemicals derailed, setting off explosions that destroyed five villages in northeastern Iran killing more than 200 people.

Soon, control TV with a simple wave of the hand

Washington (ANI): You may soon be able to control your TV with a simple wave of the hand, thanks to researchers who have developed a 3-D gesture recognition system.

Softkinetic, a Brussels-based software company, and Texas Instruments have teamed up to make a system that would make touchscreens history.

With a simple wave of hand, people will be able to change television channels or turn the volume up or down.

In video games, your movements will control your onscreen digital avatar.

“On the consumer side you have three markets-television, video games and personal computers,” Discovery News quoted Softkinetic chief executive Michel Tombroff as saying.

“The objective is to be on the consumer market at the end of next year, by Christmas, so people can buy these things,” he said.

“In the same way that the Nintendo Wii completely changed the way that people play video games this 3-D camera technology will allow us to completely transform the way people interact with television,” Tombroff added.

According to Roger Kay, president of Endpoint Technologies Associates, gesture recognition technology is “directionally correct because anything leading to a more natural interface for a human is better.

“We’re in that transition to a time when gestural input will be quite natural. From what I’ve seen of the demos they’re pretty close,” Kay added.

However in video games, “using a camera in real time to capture motion and then take the representative avatar from that and play it on a screen with other elements in a virtual world is a pretty compelling experience,” he added.

Tombroff said Softkinetic’s gesture recognition system includes a 3-D camera that “looks like a little webcam” and is mounted on top of a television set or computer monitor.

“It looks at the scene and it can analyze gestures without you holding anything in your hand or wearing any special equipment. It’s really the ultimate gesture-based solution,” he said.

Tombroff said the technology has the capability of transforming television.

“It will become an active component of the living room. It’s not just about sitting in the living room, turning it on and watching,” he said.

“It’s about interacting. The TV will recognize you. If you step in front of it, the camera will recognize it’s you,” he added. (ANI)

Rich food, richer hair

In winter, heat and energy get accumulated in the body. Thankfully, our digestion power increases, and even heavy food is easily digested. Which is good news for the hair — rich food, richer hair. Here are a few food stuff that can be included in the diet.

*Among cereals, go for wheat, barley, maize, etc

*Black gram, green lentil, soyabean are best among pulses

*Carrot, spinach, tomato, green coriander, fenugreek, onion, radish, cauliflower, beetroot, brinjal and garlic come loaded with goodness for hair

*Milk, fresh curd, lassi, sweet cream, and pure ghee are must-haves

*Egg, fish, chicken, liver of goat, and oil of sea fish are rich sources of Vitamin A

*Orange, grapes, papaya, banana, apple, pineapple, guava and amla aid in rapid hair growth

A vitamin-rich diet is imperative for healthy hair growth — deficiency of Vitamin A causes hair dryness and dullness, while Vitamin B lends lustre and volume to hair. So eat good, and watch your hair make heads turn!
