Pune police gets vital clues from CCTV footage; toll raises to 10

The CCTV footage obtained in the February 13 German Bakery terror attack was giving “important clues” to the investigators, Pune police chief Satyapal Singh said on Tuesday.

Confirming that a CCTV camera was also operating in the eatery at the time of the blast, Mr. Singh said the investigators were examining both the films, one from the nearby five star hotel which too had CCTV and the Bakery’s CCTV footage, to know the suspects.

“We are examining the footage from both CCTV systems and have got important clues,” he added, without divulging further details.

PTI further adds

The death toll in the Pune blast rose to ten on Tuesday, with one more person succumbing to injuries, police said.

24-year-old Abhishek Saxena, a resident of Lucknow, died in the city-based Dudhrani hospital, they said.

Mr. Saxena was a student of D. Y. Patil college.

His body has been handed over to his parents, police added.

In the first major attack after 26/11, terror struck Pune on February 13 as a powerful bomb ripped apart at a popular bakery-cum-cafe near the Chabad House injuring 57.
