Two arrested for kidnapping Hyderabad boy

Two persons including a lecturer who allegedly kidnapped a nine-year-old boythree days agofrom Shamshabad area were arrested and the kid rescuedfrom Warangal district.

The accused Mohd Mujamil, a part-time lecturer at acollege and his friend Amrej Mohammed both natives of Bramhagiri district in Orissa,abducted the boy on the nightof February 18. They demanded a ransom of Rs 9 lakh from his father who is a police constable, RGI Airport Police police said Sunday.

After abducting the boy, the duo took him to Khazipet in Warangal district, but were nabbed based on investigation on February 19, Shamshabad Airport police said adding the duo were today sent to 14-day judicial remand by a local court.

Mohd Mujamil, came to Hyderabad in search of job and later joined a private college as a part-time lecturer and was presently residing in Shamshabad area.

According to police Mohd Mujamil, was running short of money for marriage of his sister and planned to kindnap the boy. Further investigations were on.
