There is nothing wrong in agitating for separate statehood to Telangana region, but our leaders are crossing all the limits in the name of agitation.
Take for instance, Telangana Rashtra Samithi K Chandrasekhara Rao, who has gone to the extent of supporting even corrupt officials, just because they belonged to Telangana region. For the last few days, the Anti-Corruption Bureau authorities have been conducting a series of raids on the houses of corrupt irrigation officials working in Sriramsagar, Devadula and other projects and caught them red-handed while indulging in corruption. Naturally, the ACB authorities have recommended their suspension and arrest.
Now, these officials have given the Telangana angle to the ACB raids. They approached KCR saying they were being harassed just because they had participated in the Telangana agitations in the recent past. And without even verifying their credentials, KCR has come to their support. He warned of a strong agitation if the ACB does not withdraw cases against the Telangana officials.
The ACB officials, however, denied the charge and said KCR was only trying to politicise the government functioning. “The allegations are nothing but a figment of imagination,” the officials said.
