Hyderabad: The Telangana Rashtra Samiti has criticised the government for its efforts to harass leaders of the employees unions who were part of Joint Action Committee of Telangana employees by foisting false cases against them.
TRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao told reporters here on Tuesday that his party has specific information about the efforts of the government to ensure that employees’ leaders distanced themselves from the movement by registering cases of corruption against them.
Director General of Anti-Corruption Bureau K. Aravind Rao had allegedly convened a meeting of ACB officials recently in this direction asking them to register cases against the employees’ leaders who were part of the JAC.
Mr. Rao advised Chief Minister K. Rosaiah against indulging in such moves and said the government would face the ire of the Telangana employees if it did not desist from such measures. Asserting that the employees of Telangana were prepared to face challenges, he said a meeting of all the employees unions of the region would be convened shortly to chalk out future course of action.
